Tweed is such a Versatile fabric
I was working in the fashion industry for most of my adult life as an international fashion model, fashion journalist, and photographer, therefore naturally, people ask me for fashion tips all the time. The one that always seems to pop into my head is the tweed jacket. While many seem to consider it old fashioned, I absolutely adore its versatility.
You can wear a tweed jacket throughout the entire year. You can wear it in an elegant setting and equally in a casual environment. It is suitable to wear both during the day as well as in the evening. Just add a nice pair of trousers, a skirt or even a pair of jeans and a matching handbag and heels, and you have a timelessly chic look. The tweed jacket perfectly bonds classical elegance with a contemporary modern look.
I frequently combine a tweed jacket with the rest of the outfit for many different functions. I have worn it at Royal Ascot, business meetings, casual lunch, or at an evening soirée. And if you think that tweed is outdated, I would strongly disagree. I don’t know anyone who would call Chanel outdated. Chanel made tweed one of the hallmarks of her brand, and it is still amongst the most popular and recognizable items. I highly recommend adding a nice tweed jacket to your wardrobe if you haven’t already got one.
