Florence Pugh Is The New Ambassador Of The Maison Valentino
Valentino officially announced Florence Pugh as the new face of the Italian fashion house. In the Rockstud campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, the Oscar-nominated actress poses with various Valentino handbags and discovers many different emotions as she smoothly shifts each frame.
"It's not just a face; it's a real partnership based on trust and respect. I met Florence right after my couture show, and I was impressed by her intelligence and bravery, the way she stand [sic] for herself, the ability to handle any circumstances with such grace and acumen," the creative director of The Valentino Pierpaolo Piccioli wrote on Instagram.
For the Rockstud collection shots, the eggshell colour background reflected a minimalist yet confident attitude while keeping each frame as simple as possible. At the same time, Pugh's monochrome looks made the iconic Valentino Garavani Rockstud bags and stilettos stand out. The campaign shoot, which dressed Pugh in classic yet eye-catching pieces like black long-sleeve bodysuits, a dress with bow detail on the sleeves, and an elegant polka-dot shirt, was styled by Joe McKenna. We can expect a renaissance in the style of Florence Pugh, who became the latest face of Valentino by moving from Zendaya to the vacant seat. We also wonder if Pugh will turn into a fashion icon in this process. We saw a punk attitude in Pugh's poses for the campaign, which increased the shots' energy and the whole collection!
