Lipgloss Nails Taking Over The Glazed Donut’s Fame This Summer

As a new way to mimic the clean, simple and well-manicured nails with plush and sheeny finish nails, lipgloss nails promise they resemble the look of lip gloss on the fingertips.

If the year 2022 were a manicure trend, it would surely be the glazed doughnut highly associated with Hailey Bieber’s milky sheer-coloured and glossy finished nails. Still, a new trend promising a polished look, which many of us love to include in our make-up and nails, may be a candidate to be among the favourite manicures of this summer. Inspired by a glazed doughnut look, lipgloss nails offer a more minimal yet glamorous style.

Even though glazed doughnut and lipgloss trends follow a similar pattern, lipgloss nails work with natural nails. So you start with a more sheer base and move to a heavy on top with the gel topcoat to achieve more juice and jelly finish.

How can you make your lipgloss nails done?

Since the lipgloss nails are applied on your bare nail instead of using a base coat, considering the starring role of your natural nails, your nails should be buffed, clean and immaculately filed according to the nail shape you desire before the sheer tinted topcoat. But, on the other hand, if your nails are slightly damaged or weak, you can add extra coats of your light topcoat to create a semi-opaque pink look. So your nails will be ready before moving onto the nail polish coat.

A sweet, sheer pink shade suits best with lipgloss nails, but you can also choose nail polish in more light nude tones or even blue. Then, you can go with a clear gloss, a sparkle, or pearlescence nail polish. Make the final touch with two coats of ultra-glossy gel topcoat.
