Snow Collections: How To Dress For Winter Sports This Year?
Skiwear has never been more desirable. The Snow collections compete as every year with the main lines, and can be found (and continued) in your favorite resorts: Courchevel, St Moritz, or even Mégève. Follow the leader.
The Holiday collection by Loro Piana opens the snow holiday season in style, with a wardrobe made of silhouettes with enveloping textures, enhanced with artisanal embroidery. The Gadiel jogging pants, the Azelie coat and the Yury jacket are, for example, made in shearling, while the Ursel pants and the Niyen sweater are in Cashfur, a blend of silk and cashmere, guaranteeing softness. We fell in love with the Tapestry Bloom turtleneck in cashmere and mohair with a floral pattern, but also for the accessories such as ski masks, shearling hats and sheepskin après-ski which complete the collection.
This season, it is the world of figure skating that inspired Virginie Viard to develop the silhouettes of the CHANEL COCO NEIGE 2023/24 collection. Designed for the slopes and après-ski, this line combines precious and technical fabrics, functionality and sophistication, performance and glamour. Leggings and jumpsuits in stretch jersey or wool studded with stars and satin sets belted with double rhinestone C's, recall the costumes of skaters, while a jacket and pants in silk canvas echo the outfits of training. The codes of the House are omnipresent - the quilted, the double C and the chain, as well as the two-tone black and white - and the famous CHANEL jacket has been revisited for après-ski, now also available in glittery tweed lined with Jersey.
Building on their first collaboration last year, Mathilde Lacoste de Fusalp and Camille Miceli de Pucci unveil a new capsule collection for skiing. Pucci's iconic prints liven up the technical pieces and thermal materials: the jumpsuit and down jacket resist the extreme cold, while the pants are also available in fleece and windbreakers. A dynamic wardrobe complemented by sporty sweaters, stretch knits and heat-retaining underwear. Exclusively on Mytheresa.
For the launch of its very first Skiwear collection , Balenciaga unveils ready-to-wear with technical materials, designed for visibility, insulation, aerodynamics and even protection against the cold. Innovative, this new line includes, for example, parkas and pants with integrated gaiters, as well as ventilation systems, battery chargers and pockets specially designed to hold the ski pass. Outerwear is treated to be water-repellent, helping to keep you warm and dry. The collection also presents the Alaska boot and the 3XL sneaker adapted with crampons for walking in the snow . Equipment such as snowboards, skis, gloves, poles, helmets and glasses complete the collection.
After a first edition last year, BOSS returns to the slopes with a new collection in collaboration with Perfect Moment, combining technical expertise with confident elegance. Unveiled on the occasion of the Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening - the first cross-border race in the history of the Alpine Ski World Cup of which BOSS is the official partner - the collection is focused on performance, with models that take the form of softshell down jackets, flared ski pants, or even all-in-one insulating clothing. Some pieces can also be worn off the slopes, like turtleneck sweaters, knitted hoodies and thermal tops, all in a neutral color palette and a few pops of red. Herringbone stripes and houndstooth pattern enhance everything.
A mix of sportswear and sophistication, the Mountain Series capsule by Brunello Cucinelli combines classic fabrics from the winter collection with technical, insulating materials thanks to Thermore® padding and water-resistant. The flannel has a polyurethane membrane for additional protection against the elements. Designed for mountain activities, the pieces are above all functional, but elegant enough to be worn in the city.
Inspired by Pierre Balmain's passion for skiing, and his art of combining alpine adventure with Parisian elegance, Balmain collaborates with Bomber, the luxury equipment brand, to create an exclusive, limited edition pair of skis. Handcrafted in the Bomber factory in Cossato, Italy, from a wood core, and covered in an updated version of the House's Mini-Monogram motif – first introduced at couture shows in the 80s – Balmain x Bomber skis excel in on-piste performance, but also off-piste. Collector.
For its part, Gucci also dedicates a collection of ski masks, both for mountain getaways and cold days in the city. Defined by the House's signature codes, with sporty details and technical features, the frames – available in a variety of different colors – are adorned with the House logo, fitted with Guccissima lenses, while the Gucci Web strap appears at the rear.
Because you also need to take care of your complexion, Tom Ford Beauty has imagined a special snow makeup collection, as well as an eau de parfum that captures the magic of the summits, from Courchevel to Megève. Amber, the latter evokes the fresh reflection of the winter sun which illuminates the snow with its icy light. The eye palette adorns the eyelids with iridescent shadows, deep coppers and icy pinks, while the new highlighter gives a certain radiance to the cheeks. A fragrant glitter oil, with a light and silky texture, completes this exclusive range.
