Skims x Fendi: Kim Kardashian has achieved an accolade in the fashion industry

A collaboration that probably only happens once: Kim Kardashian West's underwear brand makes an appearance at Fendi.

The reality star is unstoppable. The fashion brand Skims, which was initiated by Kim Kardashian West, is not only highly successful and records high sales figures in the USA, it is now also entering the luxury sector: Fendi has come knocking. 

The Italian fashion brand, which has already launched a not exactly uncontroversial (pink) collection with rap superstar Nicki Minaj in the past, has now moved into shapewear and is probably hoping for brisk sales in this area. Leggings, tights and mini-dresses are on the market. The logo of the two brands is always woven in. 

The collaboration will be on the market from 9 November 2021. The lookbook was photographed by none other than photography legend Steve Meisel. Kim Kardashian herself was in front of the camera. Kim Jones was, of course, by Kardashian West's side. 

The reality star has created one of the fashion sensations of recent years with Skims. Meanwhile, according to the Wall Street Journal, the brand has been valued at over 1 billion US dollars. And the trend is upwards. Incidentally, the shapewear market is expected to be a major growth market in the fashion industry over the next few years. And the success of Skims is not without its share.
