Director Guillermo del Toro, who increased the total number of Oscar awards to three with the Oscar he won in the Best Animation category with the movie Pinocchio at the 95th Oscar Awards, started to meet with the actors for the film in which he will reinterpret the story of Frankenstein, the unique figure of gothic literature. Although there is no official statement yet, we know that the trio of Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth and Andrew Garfield, who will most probably share the lead role among the interviewed names, are ready to participate in the film.
Oscar Isaac recently received an Emmy nomination for the HBO production Scenes from a Marriage. At the same time, Andrew Garfield won an Emmy award for his performance in the Under the Banner of Heaven series. Mia Goth's sci-fi horror movie Infinity Pool, in which she recently shared the lead role with Alexander Skarsgård, won the appreciation of horror cinema lovers.

In addition to sitting in the director's chair, Del Toro is also the screenwriter of Frankenstein. Whether the film will be a modern adaptation or a period production in its original form is still a matter of curiosity. On the other hand, the Oscar-winning director defines this project, which will be a re-adaptation of the cult novel created by Mary Shelley in 1818, as a passion project and defines Frankenstein's production as one of his greatest desires. In addition to the movie Pinocchio which won him an Oscar, Guillermo del Toro has collaborated successfully with Netflix in the horror anthology Cabinet of Curiosities, the adaptation of Frankenstein, whose screenwriting process continues, is also planning to meet with the audience on Netflix.
