Being named one of the Top 5 Fashion Influencers in the world by Forbes is such an amazing honor and accomplishment. How does it feel?

I work so hard that sometimes it feels there is never enough time to just celebrate. So, I want to take this opportunity to say it out loud: I was named one of the top 5 fashion influencers in the world by Forbes. Mom, I made it. LOL, while I am saying it, my devotion to work automatically makes me focus on what is next and how am I going to surpass myself. But I am so grateful that my work has been recognized. The little girl from that little village in Italy would have never thought of it and she is proud. This is for all the girls that are scared right now and want to give up on their dreams. I am living proof that with a lot of work and also sacrifices you can do it. I will be the first one to cheer for you. We need more people to cheer for other people’s success.

What was it like moving to a new country to pursue your passions and dreams?

Being Italian originally, coming to “the big America“ without any help nor knowing anyone, made me feel that “urge”. If I don’t make it happen, I don’t have another option. This actually brought me to fight through the pandemic and keep my TV show up. It was extremely difficult as all of a sudden everything stopped, but nothing can stop me, not even the world going upside down.

Your philanthropy and charitable organization “The Wishwall Foundation” is doing incredible work, even during the pandemic. You are an inspiration to the world.

As everything stopped, also acting with The Wishwall Foundation seemed impossible. But again, despite the odds, we fought through it and were able to do a total make-over of an entire medical facility in Africa serving 800 people. I also just received the great news that the online marketing and coding program we funded for girls in Nigeria will restart before the end of the year. One batch of girls received the proper education in March, two more batches of girls will finally receive what we envisioned when we donated computers, internet connections and tutors to all of them. The goal is to give them a proper education to fight underage marriage. So many different strategies have been discussed during the pandemic, and again, we didn’t give up. We were right to do so.

You are such an incredible role model for women all over the world. What are your hopes for the new year?

America is in a tough spot right now. Between the pandemic, racial protests, and unclear elections, people seem to need a much needed rest from bad news. I personally hope that more love will be shared among us, all people. I pray for a true unity, not just in words. I often encourage my followers to be kind with their family, their neighbors. It is a true reset where we have to evaluate the important things that matter. Too much division is going on in this country and I honestly just pray for peace among people.
