The 2024 Oscars took place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and were hosted once again by Jimmy Kimmel. The ceremony was little surprising , with most of the critics' and public's predictions confirmed.

Oppenheimer emerged as the big winner of the 96th edition, taking seven statuettes, including best film, best director for Christopher Nolan, best actor for Cillian Murphy and best supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr, who won his first Oscar at the age of 58.

In addition to the announcements of the winners, the night was highlighted by musical performances by Becky G, Billie Eilish, Andrea Bocelli with her son Matteo Bocelli, and Ryan Gosling singing "I'm just Ken" on the awards stage on Sunday (10/3) .
