London-based Irish-Chinese designer Simone Rocha has just been unveiled as H&M’s latest collaborator. This follows in the footsteps of previous notable collaborations, including Rei Kawakubo, Martin Margiela and Donatella Versace. The capsule will offer  womenswear, menswear and kidswear - a first for Simone Rocha, which will also contain occasionwear, jewellery and pearl-embellished footwear.

Rocha first landed in the fashion scene in 2010 and has since become one of Britain’s brightest talents, quickly making a name for her dreamy feminine, romantic collections with a twist. In 2016, she was named Womenswear Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, and her clothes are adored and worn by the likes of Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama, Adwoa Aboah and Rihanna.

“I am so thrilled to be working with H&M on this very special collection. It truly is a celebration of the signatures of my brand, and the influences that have shaped me. As a designer, and as a customer, I’ve been such a fan of the H&M collaboration concept. Margiela, Alber Elbaz, Comme des Garcons – it’s such an amazing list of alumni to be a part of.” says Simone Rocha in a press statement.

The collection will take a deep dive into her 10-year archives. Expect tartan, beading, florals, pinks, reds, and bespoke fabrications, developed in house, especially for this collaboration.

The Simone Rocha x H&M collection will be available in selected stores and online at hm.com from March 11, 2021.
